Vision and values

We are very focused on our journey of improvement with many new projects on the horizon aimed at improving the mental health and well being of our community.

Our vision is:

To be an outstanding organisation providing safe, personalised, accessible and recovery-focussed support/services every time.

We are working towards being recognised as a centre of excellence in both integrated and specialist care – providing enhanced health and social care with our partners in a better coordinated way whatever the setting whether at home, in a GP practice, the community or in hospital.

This is reflected in our seven objectives:

  • Provide the highest quality services.
  • Create a learning culture to continually improve.
  • Encourage, inspire and implement research and innovation at all levels.
  • Maximise and use our resources intelligently and efficiently.
  • Attract and inspire the best people to work here
  • Continually improve our partnership working
  • Enhance service user and carer involvement

Our values are:

Proud to CARECompassionate, Approachable, Responsible and Excellent.

They are fundamental to the way we do things at North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare. They were created by our staff as part of our Listening in Action (LiA) journey and influence everything we do, how we approach our care and how we behave.

Quality priorities

We have four health priorities known as 'SPAR' which drive our agenda.

  • Our services will be consistently safe
  • Our care will be personalised to the individual needs of our service users
  • Our processes and structures will guarantee access for service users and their carers
  • Our focus will be on the recovery needs of those with mental illness
