We are one of the main providers of mental health, social care and learning disability services in the West Midlands.
With approximately 30 sites, we provide services in the home, community and hospital to around 470,000 people of all ages in Stoke-on-Trent and across North Staffordshire.
We also offer specialist inpatient and day patient care to children across the West Midlands who are suffering severe or complex mental health conditions and substance misuse services to people throughout Staffordshire.
As well as a key partner with other NHS organisations, we work closely with the voluntary sector to support people with mental health problems.
Our main site in Harplands Hospital, which opened in 2001 and provides the setting for most of our inpatient services.
The Trust has a team of around 1,285 whole time equivalent staff and a turnover of £81.4m (2016/17).
In 2016/17, for the 18th consecutive year, we achieved a financial surplus – of £2.051m against an income of £81.9m.
In February 2017, we were delighed to receive an improved rating from the Care Quality Commission as a 'Good' organisation with 10 out of 11 of our services rated as 'Good' or 'Outstanding'.
We look to involve our service users in everything we do, from providing feedback about the services we provide, to helping shape our priorities, to helping us find the right people to work for and with us. This work is co-ordinated by our Service User and Carer Council.
